Attorney Stephen FendlerThe Attorneys and Staff at Comitz Law are pleased to announce that Attorney Stephen J. Fendler has joined their Legal Team as Senior Counsel. Attorney Fendler will be providing legal counsel to Personal Injury clients throughout Northeastern PA, focusing on auto and truck accidents, slip, trip and fall injuries and work-related injuries as well as Social Security Disability claims, and estate planning and administration. He will be based in the firm’s Wilkes-Barre office at 46 Public Square.

Attorney Fendler’s professional affiliations have included membership in the civil litigation section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and both the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.  In 2010, Attorney Fendler was appointed by the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas as a Special Trial Master.

Attorney Fendler’s charitable and community-volunteerism has included service as President, pro bono solicitor, and member of the Board of Trustees of Temple B’nai B’rith in Kingston, First Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of the Visiting Nurse Association,  Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Center of Wyoming Valley, member of the Board of Trustees of Temple Apartments in Edwardsville, member of the Board of Directors of Jewish Family Services of Wilkes-Barre, member of the Board of Directors of the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre, pro bono solicitor to several charitable institutions, and pro bono President, Trustee, and Solicitor of the Workmen’s Circle Cemetery in Trucksville.

Born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Attorney Fendler is the son of the late Seymour and Sheila Fendler.  He is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West School District, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Dickinson School of Law.  He started his legal career with the Law Office of Attorney Sandor Yelen and then became an associate at the Wilkes-Barre Law Firm of Winkler, Danoff and Lubin where he became a partner after 2 ½ years.  In January, 1989, Steve started his own law office which grew into the practice known as Fendler & Associates, P.C. where Steve served as the managing partner.  Steve has been married to the former Maria T. Kurovsky since 1988 and has two (2) adult children, Attorney Jonathan A. Fendler and Brian J. Fendler, and one grandson.
